Meet
Naomi Tapia (she/ella)
Hola! My name is Naomi Tapia.
I am a bilingual Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in California.
I am a Latina and first-generation college graduate existing in a fat body. Through my many experiences of facing discrimination, I have found that the best approach for healing is through acceptance and love. Thus, I am a Health At Every Size®, fat positive, LGBTQ+ affirming, and sex-positive clinician who welcomes clients of all ages and genders.
I work through a feminist and person-centered lens, meaning that I take all sociocultural factors and intersecting identities into consideration when treating clients. My passion is in working with the Latinx/e community, specifically as it relates to disordered eating, negative body image, and low self-esteem. Personally, I have struggled with disordered eating, panic attacks, grief, suicidality, sexual assault and more. Because of my lived experience, I have a special place in my heart for helping others heal these wounds as well. However, I will never assume to know what your experience has been, as I know each of us have such unique experiences.
Your story is yours, and I am here to honor it.
I hope to help you heal as you find your way back home to yourself.
