You’re a therapist so you must have it all figured out, right?!

When in reality you are a therapist AND a human, with the same hurt and struggles as everyone else.

There is pressure to be perfect.

A tendency to be held to a higher standard inside and outside of the therapy room.

Your experience of imposter syndrome, compassion fatigue, and burn out does NOT make you any less of a therapist.

You deserve to receive the same support and compassion for yourself that you give to your clients.

Client Story

Katie* was spiraling. She’s supposed to be the one who knows how to keep it together and handle this stuff; she’s a freaking therapist, after all! And yet nothing was going right. She’s overcome with imposter syndrome – constantly questioning her worthiness, intelligence, and value. Katie can’t buy another self-help book; there is simply no more room on her bookshelf. There has to be another way forward.

Katie* called us for therapy after months of hesitation. She was so worried she would be judged for seeking help as a helper, but instead, she was met with compassion, curiosity, and humanity. Katie and her therapist worked together to break down her barriers and process her imposter syndrome. She was able to work through past trauma and has come out the other side stronger and more confident.

Our therapists at Stark Therapy Group will provide a non judgemental space for you to step out of the counselor role and engage with the many authentic parts of yourself.

Stop spiraling and shaming yourself.
